On March 6, 2023, the 20th AMBA&BGA Business School Capacity Building Seminar was held in Shanghai. The Office of International Exchange and Accreditation of the Business School attended the seminar.
Wang Chongming, special-gradeexpert of Zhejiang Province, President of the International Silk Road Entrepreneurship Education Alliance, a senior professor in Humanities and Social Sciences from Zhejiang University and director of the Zhejiang University Global Entrepreneurship Research Center, chaired the conference. Professor Wang Chongping delivered a keynote speech centered on “new outlook, new momentum, new sector and new development”. He emphasized the key to the new sector of the business schools’ RDG education (responsibility, digital intelligence and green innovation) lies on the long-lasting influence of the accreditation entity. He suggested that each college and university that apply for accreditation should make plans for long-lasting influence based on their actual conditions and keep upgrading and improving their systems upon the blond medals. Besides, they should also improve their standard professional capacity, further promoting the establishment of the “three-in-one development model” of demonstration courses. He believed that orienting on “high-quality international standards” could better advance the construction and sustainable development of the schools.
Professor Chen Fangruo, dean of the Antai College of Economics and Management at Shanghai Jiao Tong University gave a keynote speech centered on the development process and research findings of “in the face of a complicated situation, inner knowledge and action should achieve unity” theory. Professor Xi Youmin, Executive President of Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, delivered a speech themed on The business administration in the age of digitalization, putting forward what should be focused on of the business education in the future from the perspective of ecological management, industrial integration, industrialists cultivation and mental upgrading.
During the conference, representatives from colleges and universities who won the gold, silver and blonde medals of the AMBA&BGA accreditation shared their effective measures and fruitful results of promoting the international construction of the business schools through roundtable discussions, strategy speeches and exchanges. Focusing on the advantages and disadvantages of the schools, cultivation programs of students and future planning, participants advanced constructive suggestions on continuously and effectively improving the curriculum, teaching methods, teaching resources and student development.
